WANdisco launches latest release channel for uberSVN
WANdisco gives uberSVN community early access to Chimney House update, ahead of general release.
WANdisco, the leading provider of Apache Subversion-based software and services for the enterprise, and a major corporate sponsor of the Subversion project, has just launched a Latest Release Channel for their award-winning uberSVN product.
Members of the Latest Release Channel will be able to download updates at least two weeks before other uberSVN users. They will also have the opportunity to test new features and see how they fit into their own ALM environment ahead of the general release. Members of this channel can already access an update to uberSVN Chimney House released June 22nd, which includes a new and improved manageAPPS page and LDAP enhancements. This release will become generally available within the next two weeks for users on the Stable Release Channel.
uberSVN is the free, open ALM platform for Apache Subversion. It features an enterprise app store, and comes integrated with unique social coding capabilities. Not yet started with uberSVN? It can be downloaded for free at http://www.ubersvn.com/
Apache Subversion (SVN) is a version control system initiated in 2000. It is used to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly-compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). In a 2007 report by Forrester Research, Subversion was recognized as the sole leader in the Standalone Software Configuration Management (SCM) category and a strong performer in the Software Configuration and Change Management (SCCM) category. Subversion is released under the Apache License, making it free software. For more information, please visit: http://subversion.apache.org.
