windows server 2008 : commits failure

    Hi,

We have SVN 1.6.6 on windows server 2008 and Apache 2.2. intermittently commits failed by giving following error.

'Can't start process 'E:/projects/test/repo/hooks/pre-commit.bat': Invalid access to memory location. [409, #720998]'

if I restart the Apache server, problem disappears.

Is there any permanent solution to this problem ?

    Thank you in advance.

Interesting. I don't really know how the innards of Subversion but sounds like some kind of memory corruption....

I would try upgrading to the latest version of Apache 2.2 (2.2.22) and Subversion 1.6 (1.6.17)

If it still occurs on the latest versions of the software then we can debug it further.

    Thanks Mat,

I have another server with the same configuration. Never got this problem on that machine.

on more thing is the revision size is quite huge on the server on which we face the above mentioned problem. Could that be the culprit ?

Upgrading Apache & Subversion will be the last option as lots of repositories are hosted on the server.
