Unable to connect to repository at URL

    HI Guys,

I am facing problem with Tortoise SVN Connection. My system is running on windows7. When i installed tortoise SVN 1.7.1 initially it worked fine.
After few days when i tried to get the latest files from server through svn iam unable to connect to server from my SVN client.
Whenever iam trying to update the folder iam getting following error

Error: Unable to connect to a repository at URL
    Error: 'https://svn.playspan.com/svn/wallet/trunk/talent'
Error: The OPTIONS request returned invalid XML in the response: XML parse error at
Error: line 1: no element found (https://svn.playspan.com/svn/wallet/trunk/talent)

I made sure that i have read and write permissions for the folder. Checked with memory space on server. I have space on server too..

Can anyone please explain me how to get rid of this issue please.

    Thanks
    Manohari

The error says the connection was closed by your proxy server, perhaps it is not configured correctly for SSL connections?

    Unable to connect to repository

    Hi

I have the same problem. I installed SVN server on a Windows 2008 box and had been using it for months from my PC with Tortoise.
The server is 2.5.5 and the client is 1.7.7. Latest versions.

All of a sudden the SVN server failed to start and I had change the port number to get it going. Ever since I have not been able to connect to it.

It seems likely that a service pack or something else installed on the server is causing this. I cannot connect locally on the server with Tortoise
but the server is up and I can browse to the url and log in with the browser.

Did anyone work out what was going on here? Or can anyone shed any light?

    thanks
    Gus

Have you tried using the full path to the repo? i.e. http://MyServerName/svn/repository
