WANdisco’s uberSVN awarded 'Made in Sheffield' mark

Prestigious trademark awarded to WANdisco’s groundbreaking new open ALM platform for Apache Subversion


Sheffield, UK - 16 August 2011 - WANdisco has today announced that its uberSVN system has been awarded the Made in Sheffield® mark. Sheffield in England is a name synonymous with quality production as far back as 1279 and it has been protected by law since 1624. Today, only companies who meet exacting criteria, operate within the Sheffield City Region and can demonstrate their commitment to producing high-quality products are awarded the mark.

WANdisco moved its European centre from London to Sheffield in 2008 and has since created almost 30 jobs in the region. WANdisco’s new product line – uberSVN - was designed, developed and is now hosted in the city. Since its launch in April 2011 the product has seen explosive growth with over 10,000 installations in less than 3 months.

With headquarters based in Silicon Valley, WANdisco is a global company bringing its expertise and worldwide connections to the city. This fantastic inward investment is further evidence that Sheffield has become a leading centre of creative and digital expertise.
