San Ramon, CA October 4, 2010 – WANdisco, the makers of Enterprise Subversion with active core developers from the project on staff, today announced a new series of free online training classes, with five sessions scheduled between now and the end of the year.
In addition to the two free online training classes scheduled for October, "Subversion Administration Best Practices" on October 6, and "All About Subversion Hook Scripts" on October 20, WANdisco has added three completely new free online training classes for November and December:
- "All About the Subversion Commit Command" on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. During this session the instructor will cover commit dialog options, use of files and folders, unversioned files, ignored files, and changelists. The instructor will also cover common problems encountered with Subversion’s commit command and explain how to avoid them as well as fix them.
- "Managing a Subversion Controlled Project" on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Topics include implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, project hierarchy, reporting options, and the use of hook scripts to provide project management information.
- "Handling Merge Conflicts" on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. During this course the instructor will cover what causes merge conflicts, various types of conflicts, what support files are created and how they can be used to resolve conflicts. Use of the merge editor will also be covered.
All of these courses are taught by WANdisco’s Director of Subversion Training, Mike Lester. Mike has more than 33 years of experience in the software industry, having spent the past ten years focusing on training and consulting for Subversion and other software configuration management (SCM) systems.
Free registration is available at: http://wandisco.com/webinar/subversion/training. WANdisco recommends early registration as space is limited.
Buy a Support Contract and Support Subversion!
