Enterprise Class Reliability for CVS
CVS High Availability leverages WANdisco's unique replication technology to bring enterprise class reliability to CVS. CVS High Availability provides continuous hot backup, while making failover and disaster recovery automatic and transparent for both developers and administrators. One or more backup servers can be placed on the same local area network (LAN) as the primary server, or located remotely over a wide area network (WAN).
Features
- Everything up to the moment of failure is captured and recovered, so that a recovery point objective (RPO) of zero is achieved.
- User access is restored immediately after a server or network failure, so that a recovery time objective (RTO) of zero is achieved.
- Transparent implementation requires no retraining. Developers and administrators continue to use the CVS clients and tools they're familiar with.
- Unlike disk mirroring solutions that only support backup over distances covered by a metropolitan LAN, CVS High Availability allows backup servers to be located thousands of miles away, and recovery is automatic.
- Minimizes network traffic and bandwidth costs over a WAN.
- Can be implemented standalone, or in conjunction with WANdisco's CVS MultiSite and CVS Access Control products.

What is CVS?
CVS is an open source version control system that stores and tracks changes made to any type of electronic data, including source code files, web pages, documents, or images. CVS has been available since 1989, and is still widely used today.
Part of a Complete Solution Stack
CVS High Availability can be implemented standalone, or in combination with WANdisco's MultiSite, Clustering, or Access Control solutions for CVS.
WANdisco also offers JIRA MultiSite and JIRA Clustering. These solutions, available exclusively from WANdisco, are based on Atlassian's JIRA, the award winning bug tracking, issue tracking and project management solution, in use by more than 6000 customers worldwide, including many of the Fortune 1000. With JIRA Clustering and JIRA MultiSite, a single central JIRA server is no longer a performance bottleneck, and IT organizations gain immediate visibility into individual issue and overall project status across all locations.
