Pre Sales Engineer / Consultant

Opportunity: 

WANdisco is looking for an SCM expert with strong communication skills to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with their implementations of WANdisco's enterprise solutions.
  • Lead professional services engagements focused on implementing Subversion, SCM, and ALM best practices.
  • Provide Subversion/SCM expertise to our pre-sales and customer support teams.
  • Plan and execute migrations from other SCM systems to Subversion
  • Develop custom solutions and integrations by applying scripting and programming expertise.
  • Present our enterprise solutions to customers in support of pre-sales opportunities. 
Requirements: 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Subversion including the ability to write, deploy and debug hooks.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache in the context of Subversion and LDAP/Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting/programming languages, i.e. perl, python, shell, batch, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with ALM tools implementation and integration a plus, including defect trackers and/or build automation tools.
  • Knowledge of other legacy SCM systems a plus, i.e. ClearCase, Starteam, Synergy or Perforce.
  • This position will be based in the western United States, preferably near our San Ramon, CA office.
  • Travel to customer locations required.
